ERGOCON 2025: Engineering With Heart, Designed for the Community
On November 21, 2025, the QCU Open Grounds became a dynamic space for creativity and community impact as 14 beneficiaries from different barangays in Quezon City gathered for this year’s ErgoCon.
The event opened with an inspiring message from University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, who encouraged everyone to “continue to bring prosperity in the community.” Her message set a purposeful tone for a day anchored in innovation and service.
A meaningful ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the start of the program, followed by the showcase of Ergonomic Cart Presentations. Each ErgoCart reflected real experiences and real needs, demonstrating how thoughtful, human-centered design can uplift everyday livelihoods.
Lively performances and the recognition of the beneficiaries energized the program, leading to the awarding of the Best ErgoCart, which highlighted the most outstanding ergonomic and community-centered designs of the day.
This event was organized by the BS Industrial Engineering classes under the advisory of Engr. Rowel Alarcon and Engr. Mary Sol Lare, who guided the academic groundwork that made ErgoCon 2025 possible.
The program concluded with a motivating message from Dr. Jeffrey L. Cacho, reminding everyone to continuously use engineering as a tool to elevate quality of life.
ErgoCon 2025 proved that when engineering meets empathy, communities move forward together.
