Quezon City University (QCU) President, Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, was among the distinguished guests at the Commission on Higher Education – National Capital Region (CHED-NCR) “Meet the hIROs: Year-End Kumustahan” on December 6, 2024, at Mandell Hall Auditorium, Trinity University of Asia.

The event, organized by the Transnational Higher Education (TNHE) Unit of CHED-NCR, served as a key platform for International Relations Officers (IROs) from various higher education institutions (HEIs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) to come together and strengthen their partnerships and commitment to internationalization.

The “Kumustahan” event brought together IROs, higher education administrators, and experts in the field of internationalization to discuss the evolving landscape of global higher education. The gathering aimed to foster stronger connections between HEIs, recognize best practices, and provide solutions to emerging challenges in the internationalization efforts of universities and colleges.

The event also provided a platform for IROs to share their best practices and initiatives in internationalization, with a particular focus on strategies that have helped HEIs achieve success in international rankings and collaborations. Acknowledging the hard work and dedication of HEIs, CHED-NCR recognized several institutions for their outstanding efforts in global engagement.

Dr. Atienza’s participation in the event reflects QCU’s ongoing dedication to internationalization and its active role in contributing to the advancement of higher education in the Philippines and abroad.
