SDG 4 4 11 17

In observance of National CPR Day on July 17, 2026, Quezon City University (QCU) reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a culture of preparedness, compassion, and service by equipping its academic community with essential cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills.

Spearheaded by QCU President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, the initiative brought together students, faculty, and personnel in a meaningful learning experience that emphasized the importance of timely emergency response and lifesaving intervention.

Through CPR training, participants gained practical knowledge and confidence to respond effectively during medical emergencies, reinforcing the University’s belief that education extends beyond the classroom and includes the development of responsible, service-oriented citizens who are ready to make a difference in their communities.

The activity was conducted in partnership with FDM Training Center, the University’s official training provider for the event. Through its expertise in emergency preparedness and lifesaving education, the training center helped strengthen participants’ capabilities to respond when every second matters.

As Quezon City University joins the nation in celebrating a decade of National CPR Day, the University continues to champion initiatives that promote public safety, resilience, and community well-being empowering individuals with skills that have the potential to save lives and create lasting impact.
