QCU Library Spoken Poetry Contest Amplifies Student Voices
The Quezon City University (QCU) Library Resources and Services Division held its Spoken Poetry Contest on March 2 at the New Academic Building, San Bartolome Campus, under the theme “From Silence to Pages, Voices Unfold.” The event featured nine students from the College of Education (CEd), College of Business (COB), College of Engineering (COE), and College of Accountancy (COA) who presented original spoken poetry pieces in English.
Ann Kayla A. Borja (BECEd, 3rd year) was named Champion, followed by Julianne Rose B. Macalulot (BECEd, 2nd year) as 1st Runner-up, and Rizia Kishi E. Baltes (BSA, 1st year) as 2nd Runner-up.
The panel of judges included Dr. Jun M. Aranquez, Ms. Dianne D. Lumibao, and Ms. Josephine S. Uy, who evaluated the performances based on delivery, content, originality, and overall impact.
The event highlighted the creativity and expressive talents of QCU students while reinforcing the QCU Library’s commitment to promoting literary appreciation, artistic expression, and student engagement within the academic community.
