QCU, QCTAC Advance a Shared Vision for a Future-Ready Quezon City Workforce
Quezon City University (QCU), under the leadership of University President Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, welcomed representatives from the Quezon City Training and Assessment Center (QCTAC) to explore collaborative initiatives aimed at expanding TESDA-aligned training and assessment opportunities for QCU students and the wider community.
The QCTAC delegation was led by Ms. Carmel C. Tordesillas, LPT, RPM, Supervising Administrative Officer, together with Ms. Judy V. Evangelista and Ms. Liza A. Herrero. Discussions focused on developing competency-based programs and national assessment pathways that may be credited to academic courses, further enhancing students’ workforce readiness, employability, and commitment to lifelong learning.
Proposed areas of collaboration include:
- TESDA-standard, competency-based training programs
- Access to national assessment and certification opportunities
- Skills development aligned with academic outcomes
- Community-based training and livelihood initiatives
- Resource sharing and capability-building efforts
Dr. Atienza reaffirmed QCU’s commitment to producing competent, industry-ready graduates, emphasizing that these initiatives strongly support the University’s mission to strengthen skills development and broaden opportunities for learners.
