QCU Implements Risk Assessment for Students and Employees

SDG 3

Starting February 9, 2023, the Quezon City University (QCU) Medical and Dental Services Unit, in collaboration with the Quezon City Health Department, has launched a Risk Assessment program for students and employees. The goal of this initiative is to identify individuals at high risk of developing lifestyle-related diseases and provide them with preventive measures such as nutrition, physical activity, and smoking cessation.

The risk assessment will involve taking a detailed medical history and conducting various measurements, including body mass index (BMI), hip and waist circumferences, blood pressure, and random blood sugar tests. Those individuals identified as having lifestyle-related diseases will be enrolled in the Quezon City Health Department’s Non-Communicable Disease Prevention and Control Program. This will give them access to free maintenance medicines and regular health monitoring.

Here is the schedule for each campus:

San Bartolome Campus: Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Batasan Campus: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

San Francisco Campus: Thursday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
