QCU and the UN Sustainable Goals

Sustainable Development Goal 16

Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

The university has been actively contributing to peace and justice by offering programs related to law, governance, and social justice in partnership with QC’s Department of Public Order and Safety (DPOS), the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). By educating students on the principles of justice, human rights, and the rule of law, QCU aligns with SDG 16’s objectives of promoting peaceful and inclusive societies and ensuring access to justice for all. QCU has also organized programs and seminars for Barangay leaders in Quezon City to promote peace and justice, as well as integrated such topics in its Executive Course for Barangay Leaders for Systems Delivery Support for the Out of School Youth (BLeSDS for the OSY), a project funded by USAID-EDC.
