QCU Hosts I-RISE 2025 with International Partners, Showcasing Over 80 Research Presentations on Sustainable Education
Quezon City University (QCU), in partnership with the Asia-Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCoRE), hosted the International Research and Innovation for Sustainable Education (I-RISE) Hybrid Conference 2025 on November 28, at the QCU San Bartolome Campus and online via Zoom. This year’s theme, “Reimagining Local Innovation and Global Futures through Sustainable Education Practices,” underscores the role of research, technology, and sustainability in transforming education in the 21st century.
More than 80 research papers will be presented across hybrid breakout sessions, showcasing innovations in:
· Education and pedagogical practice
· Digital learning and technological advancement
· Environmental and sustainability education
· Community-based and business innovation
· Student-led capstone and applied projects
A highlight of the conference is the plenary talk by Dr. Ahmed Bourghida, Regional Director for Research & Analytics at Clarivate Analytics (South East Asia & India), who will speak on “The Future of Web of Science in the Age of AI.”
In addition, a Roundtable Discussion on the Status, Challenges, and Prospects of Research and Extension in Higher Education will feature distinguished university leaders including:
· Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, President of Quezon City University
· Dr. Ma. Felma Carlos-Tria, President of Universidad De Manila
· Dr. Glicerio M. Maningas, President of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Pasig
· Moderated by Dr. Junisthemer Rosales of APCoRE and Polytechnic University of the Philippines
