QCU-CE recognizes outstanding IE Certification and ECE Board Passers

More than 50 graduates from the Quezon City University – College of Engineering were recently recognized for their outstanding achievements during the AGSIKAP 2023 organized by the Institute of Electronics Engineers of the Philippines – Quezon City University (IECEP-QCU) and the Philippine Institute of Industrial Engineers (PIIE) on December 2, 2023.

The awardees included 27 ECE graduates who passed the ECE Licensure Examination, 54 Electronics Technician Board Exam (ECT) passers, and 12 Certified Industrial Engineering graduates.

Dr. Theresita V. Atienza, QCU President, together with other university and college officials, led the symbolic lighting of the electronic bonfire signifying unity and purpose during the opening ceremony.

In her opening remarks, Dr. Atienza emphasized the university’s goal of getting higher passing rates, which she believes is achievable with the quality of graduates that the college produce, while also reminding the graduates to not forget their alma mater.

Selected alumni including Engr. Jhonry Y. Siriban (ECE Batch 2018), Engr. Ronnel C. Belizar (ECE Batch 2016), Engr. Mary Rose M. Casama (IE Batch 2022), and Engr. Bryan B. Limco, (ECE Batch 2017) gave short inspirational talks in front of the students and guests.

In his closing message, Dean Ryan F. Arago recognized the efforts of the engineering graduates and challenged them to continue pursuing excellence to inspire their fellow QCians and make their alma mater proud.
