2ND SEMESTER A.Y. 2022-2023

GENERAL ADMISSION POLICY

A student desiring to enroll in Quezon City University has to comply with the following Admission requirements:

  1. Must pass the QCU Admission Test. (No entrance exam for the 2nd Semester of AY 2022-2023)
  2. Must have at least a general weighted average of 80% or above.
  3. Of good moral character.
  4. Physically and mentally fit to pursue a college education.
  5. Must be of high school graduate from a DepEd-accredited high school.
  6. Must pass the department interview.
  7. Students must submit all the pre-admission requirements of QCU.
  8. Students must pledge to comply with its scholastic standards and abide by the rules and regulations of QCU.


SELECTION FOR A DEGREE PROGRAM AND CAMPUS

Qualified applicants for a given campus are ranked according to their ratings and the available slots in their preferred program. Applicants who do not qualify for their first choice of Degree Program or Campus will be channeled to their second or third choice depending on the availability of slots.

ADMISSIONS CLASSIFICATION THAT CAN BE ADMITTED THIS 2ND SEMESTER

TRANSFEREES (admission of transferees is subject to the availability of slots). 

  1. Students who have enrolled in any course leading to a degree program before enrolment in QCU.
  2. Students who enrolled or graduated from any 1 or 2 years Technical Vocational Courses.

TRANSFEREE 2ND DEGREE COURSE TAKER

A second degree-course taker is a student applicant who has completed any college degree from any CHED-recognized college or university. Second-courser students may be admitted provided there is an available slot and they abide by the policy that only up to 50% of the total units earned shall be credited after the verification of the college dean. Second Degree Course takers will be informed beforehand that they are not qualified for the CHED UniFAST scholarship.

Transferee and 2nd Degree Course Taker’s Admission shall be on a probation basis during the first semester of stay at the University.

RETURNEE

A returnee is a returning student applicant who was once enrolled at QCU and not enrolled in the immediately preceding semester. Only students who have undergone the admission process for returnees are allowed to enroll at QCU.

REQUIREMENT and PROCEDURE FOR QCU COLLEGE ADMISSION APPLICATION of TRANSFEREES:

Requirements: 

  1. Printed BACK TO BACK on ONE SINGLE SHEET Accomplished Application Form (with 2 x 2 colored pictures and the applicant’s signature on the last page).  (2SETS)
  2. Departmental Interview Requirement: Complete TOR grade or True Copy of Grades

Procedure:

2. Submit to QCU Admissions Office the 2 SETS of printed accomplished application forms (with 2 x 2 colored pictures and the applicant’s signature on the last page)

3. Applicants must bring their TOR with complete grades or a True Copy of Grades to proceed to the concerned Department/College for an interview on the same day. 

4. The College Dean will then give the list of students qualified for psychological tests.

5. Result of the interview will be emailed to the applicant and to be posted on QCU Website (www.qcu.edu.ph).

* Registration, Passing the departmental interview/psychological test does not guarantee enrollment at QCU unless complete requirements had been submitted during the enrollment period.  Late submission of requirements will not be considered.

REMINDERS TO APPLICANTS:

  • Remember your PASSWORD because this will be used for receiving notifications about the status of your application, invite for department interview, and for Admission & Enrollment purposes. (Make sure that you type the CORRECT Gmail/ Google Account).
  • DO NOT CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS AS THESE WILL CAUSE DELAYS IN YOUR APPLICATION.
  • Please take necessary steps in securing your data like using TWO-STEP VERIFICATION to protect your right to data privacy.

ADMISSION POLICY FOR BSA, BSMA, BSECE and BECEd

DEGREE PROGRAMGWA AND ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA)  TRANSFEREE
Has no grade lower than 88% or 2.0 in all his/her subjects.
Must have a general weighted average not lower than 90% in QCU College Admission Test.
Must pass the interview and/or examination administered by the Dean (CPA) or Program Chair who will recommend for admission.  
Bachelor of Science in Management Accounting (BSMA)

*Only applicants in the 1st Yr. level will be accepted and will be irregular students.
TRANSFEREE
Has no grade lower than 85% or 2.25 in all his/her subjects.
Must have a general weighted average not lower than 90% in QCU College Admission Test.
Must pass the interview and/or examination administered by the Dean (CPA) or Program Chair who will recommend for admission.  
Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering (BSECE)  TRANSFEREE
Has no grade lower than 83% or 2.25 in all his/her subjects.
Must be of Good Moral Character Must have a general weighted average not lower than 85% in QCU College Admission Test.
Must pass the interview and/or examination administered by the Dean (CPA) or Program Chair who will recommend for admission.  
Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (BECEd)        
* Applicants must finish the 1st Semester in another university and will be irregular students.
TRANSFEREE
Must have a grade not lower than 85% in all the subjects as evidenced by Transcript of Records. Must have a general weighted average not lower than 85% in QCU College Admission Test.
Must be of good moral character.
Must pass the department interview.
Must have submitted the pertinent academic requirements.  

ACCREDITATION OF SUBJECTS PROCEDURES:

  1. Secure a crediting form from the admissions office.
  2. Submit the following requirements:

a. Accomplished Crediting Form

b. Students TOR Copy for Quezon City University

c. Subject Course Description

d. NSTP serial number (for the accreditation of NSTP 2)

e. Curriculum Sheet/Program of Study used upon admission.

3. Proceed to the respective department for evaluation. An interview with the college dean is required. Accreditation can be done only within the semester of your first enrolment at QCU. No more crediting is allowed after the said semester.  Return the approved crediting form with other requirements at the admissions office.

4. A certified true copy of the approved crediting form or signed scanned copy whichever is available will be forwarded to the student’s registered email after providing his/her TOR Copy for QCU. 

*Subjects taken Five (5) years ago will not be credited as well as subjects from the old curriculum including PE, NSTP, and RIZAL. Only subjects with the same subject title in our curriculum can be credited without a subject course description provided that the subject/s are not obsolete.

Additional Requirements for the following Applicants:

  • For Accreditation of Subjects during enrollment period– Subject Course Description of all passed subjects, TOR Copy for QCU and NSTP 2 Serial Number (Secure request letter from QCU Admissions Office)
  • If with a discrepancy between the PSA Birth Certificate and School Record – An affidavit of the Same Person
  • If currently employed-Original Latest Certificate of Employment
  • If Married Female Student-Original Marriage Certificate
  • Applicants from schools with non-numerical (Pass/Fail) grades-Certificate of Non-issuance of Numerical Grades (Issued by the School Registrar)
  • In cases where the student-applicant cannot reasonably secure his/her school credentials for reasons beyond his/her control, such as Closure of the school last attended and Damage of documents due to fire or natural calamities- Certificate of eligibility for admission to college from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)
  • Applicants who stopped for 1Yr or more-Affidavit of Non-Enrollment from other Universities

*Official Transcript of Record (TOR) Copy for QCU shall be submitted prior to admission for the following semester.
