CALL FOR CANTEEN CONCESSIONAIRES APPLICANTS

Quezon City University will be opening its canteen facilities in all three (3) campuses, namely: San
Bartolome, San Francisco and Batasan Hills. All interested concessionaires may apply from06
January to 13 January, 2023 by submitting your proposal to:

To further evaluate the proposals, please furnish us a copy of the following:

  1. Letter of Intent
  2. Business Permit
  3. Mayor’s Permit
  4. DTI Registration or SEC Registration
  5. Barangay Clearance
  6. Profile of the owner
  7. Income Tax Return
  8. Health Clearances of concessionaire employees
  9. Menu preferably nutritious food

TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR CANTEEN CONCESSIONAIRES

  1. SCOPE OF PROPOSAL

The concessionaire will serve an approximately 10,000 students which are located on all three (3) campuses.  These concessionaires are expected to be ready with breakfast at 7am, morning snacks at 10am, Lunch at 12nn, afternoon snacks at 3pm and early dinner at 6pm.   They are also expected to serve healthy and nutritious food to students, faculty and non-teaching employees.

2. RENTAL FEE AND DEPOSITS

Rental fee is at 400.00 per day over 22 working days.  It will also be mandatory to require two (2) months deposits and 1 month advance rent.

3. CONCESSIONAIRE HYGIENE

It is expected that concessionaire staff will have a health certificate; in good health; and in proper concessionaire attire as stated in the contract.  To facilitate hygiene, there will be a segregation of function where cashiers will be separate from food servers.

4. UNIFORM OF CANTEEN PERSONNEL

Concessionaire staffs are expected to be in uniform, hairnet, apron and closed shoes.  They are also expected to present themselves.

 5. ELECTRICITY AND WATER

The electricity and water is included already in the rental fee levied by the University.  Concessionaires are allotted only a specific no. of kilowatt per hour (KWH) per month.  Any excess will be charge to concessionaires. 

6. ADDITIONAL SLOTS OF CONCESSIONAIRE

 In case of a concessionaire who wants to take on several slots, the rental fee will be computed  as follows:

       No. of slots x Monthly rental fee = Monthly Rent.

7. DISPOSAL OF WASTE

Concessionaires are expected to practice segregation of waste based on University guidelines. It should remove solid food waste from used plates before washing the dishes in the sink to avoid it from clogging. It is expected that the food stalls will be cleaned and sanitized every Saturday.

 8. RULES ON DISPOSABLE UTENSILS

Plates, Utensils, glasses and bottled drinks usage will be based on the ordinance issued by the Quezon City Government.

9. INGRESS AND EGRESS OF CONCESSIONAIRE

Ingress and egress of concessionaire will be coordinated with the Physical Facilities Department.  It should be done during office hours only. Any other date and time outside the normal operating hours of the University will be subjected an exception approval by the University President.

10. MEAL HOURS

 Canteen concessionaires are expected to serve during the following meal time:

  • Breakfast 7AM
  • Morning Snack 10AM
  • Lunch Meal 12NN
  • Afternoon Snack 3PM
  • Dinner Meal 6PM
