Program Description

The College of Business and Accountancy aims to produce responsible entrepreneurs and globally competitive professional accountants. It instills the highest ideals of moral and ethical standards to honor God, respect others, and dignify oneself.

Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep)

The Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship (BS Entrep) program of Quezon City University adopts an outcomes-based curriculum as prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and in accordance with CMO No. 18, series of 2017. This program provides classroom training and experiential learning. It will help aspiring entrepreneurs acquire skills, values and attitudes that will increase their chances of success.

After completion of all academic requirements of the program, graduates of BS Entrepreneurship are expected to set up and manage their own business or work in any organization where entrepreneurial competencies are required.


Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA)

The Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA) program of the Quezon City University adopts an outcomes-based curriculum as prescribed by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and in accordance with CMO No. 27, series of 2017. The program provides general accounting education to students wanting to pursue a professional career in accountancy and qualify for a Certified Public Accountant Licensure Examination pursuant to the Accountancy Act of 2004.

Graduates of BSA program can pursue a career in the four major fields of accountancy: public practice, commerce and industry, government, and education. BSA graduates can take on jobs such as accountant, auditor, budget officer, comptroller / chief financial officer, corporate treasurer, consultant / financial advisor, lecturer in the education sector, accounting or finance officer in various government agencies, and the like.

BSA Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the BSA Program, a student must be able to meet the following:

  1. Must have a general weighted average not lower than 87% in Senior High School
  2. Must have a general weighted average not lower than 87% in the QCU Admission Test
  3. Must be of good moral character
  4. Must have grades not lower than 87% in the following Senior High School subjects: General Mathematics, English for Academic and Professional Purposes, Reading and Writing Skills

BSA Retention Policies

The retention policy aims to:

  1. Increase the academic standards of the Quezon City University.
  2. Encourage the students to excel academically.
  3. Improve the performance of students in the CPA board examination.

To be retained in the BSA Program, the following policies shall apply:

A. On the 1 st and 2nd Year, a student admitted into the program must have no failing grade in any minor subjects and have no grade lower than 2.0 in any major subjects.
B. At the end of the 2nd Year, a student admitted into the program must pass the Qualifying Examination to move to the 3rd Year level.
C. On the 3rd and 4th Year, a student must not incur more than three failing grade or 5.0 for each year level.

BSA Policies on Transferee students

A. A transferee shall be accepted in the BSA program provided that he/she passed the QCU Admission Test with a general average of 90% and above.
B. A transferee shall be accepted in BSA program provided the student has no grade lower than 2.0 in all his/her subjects.
C. A transferee must be of good moral character.
D. A transferee must pass the interview and/or examination administered by the Dean (CPA) or Program Chair who will recommend for admission.
